Ownership

Support, delivery and commissioning without assumptions

The right service model depends on whether you are buying a component, a research platform or an engineered production system. The written proposal confirms the terms for your order.

Buyer process

Four checkpoints from enquiry to support

01

Application and configuration review

Kikobot reviews the use case, operating conditions, interfaces and intended outcome before confirming the product or system configuration.

02

Written commercial proposal

The proposal confirms supplied equipment, options, responsibilities, exclusions, price, taxes, delivery basis and expected schedule.

03

Delivery and commissioning scope

The order records whether delivery is hardware-only, remotely supported or includes on-site installation, integration, training or acceptance testing.

04

Handover and support route

The handover identifies the applicable documentation, software release, support contact and any agreed spares or service arrangements.

Before placing the order

Put these terms in writing

Warranty

Duration, start date, covered equipment, exclusions, remedy and shipping or site-service responsibility must appear in the written quote or order terms. Do not assume a standard duration from the website.

Commissioning

The proposal states whether commissioning is included, where it occurs, who provides utilities and tooling, and what constitutes completion.

Acceptance

For configured systems, agree measurable criteria such as payload, motion, cycle, repeatability or process outcome together with the test conditions.

Training and documentation

Confirm the operator or engineer training, manuals, drawings, software, examples and interface files supplied for the selected revision.

Spares and repairs

Identify recommended spares, diagnostic process, return or site-service route, estimated response expectations and responsibility for freight or access.

Changes and updates

Record the approved hardware and software revision and how substitutions, firmware updates or project-scope changes will be communicated.

Existing product or system?

Start with the product identity

Include the model, serial number where available, hardware and software revision, installation location, symptoms, recent changes and photos or logs that help reproduce the issue.
